Sh. Rajinder Mandal of Sahu Parbatti village, near to Naogachhia town of Bihar, is a farmer. He holds 10 acres of land, just adjacent to river Ganga. He started lemongrass cultivation 5 years back and now getting more than Rs. 40,000/- from one acre of land. He is sperading the knowledge and economics of lemongrass cultivation. Besides, Mandal is also providing his technical support to a World Food Programme supported project to INTWOT (www.intwot.org) of lemongrass cultivation in 50 acres of land in Naxal infested Bundu block of district Ranchi of Jharkhand.
